"My wife and I recently married in the Placerville area and stayed at Bella Vista for 3 days afterwards. The place is heaven on earth. I have never seen such care for property on a large beautiful landscape. Everything is perfect. I am usually very hard to please when it comes to accommodations, but I was blown away. There are so many areas to relax and take in the beautiful views. There were sounds of water features everywhere you go seeing as how they have 2 large ponds and a nice creek style waterfall. That is only in the front yard. Every room is beautifully decorated with vintage looking décor, done with absolute perfection. Every room is unique to the next as the décor was all hand picked by Kathleen. (I asked because the way it was done was so nice, I may have her do my house!) We stayed in a different room every night to see all of them. The Bella Vista Suite was my favorite; it had the most beautiful room with the most beautiful View of a breathtaking landscape. To top it all off, the owners Bob and Kathleen we perfect. They were the nicest people that seemed to not mind at all to cater to you. The breakfast differs day to day, and it tastes like they have 15 French chefs in the kitchen working round the clock :) They were the perfect host's. There are also so many things to do. Near the heart of Coloma, there are pubs, restaurants, a state park and little shops that seem stuck in time in the old Coloma center. I have never felt the urge write a review before, but I have only been home for 3 hours and here I am. I think this place is perfect, and I will be back very soon. My husband & I love this beautiful bed & breakfast. We spent the first couple nights of our honeymoon here and loved it so much that we booked our one year anniversary weekend before we left. The owners are very thoughtful and accommodating, the house and landscaping are beautiful, and the rooms are comfortable and private. We also enjoyed the lovely pool & spa area. It's a beautiful day for a relaxing dip in the Bella Vista pool. Our pool has a large waterfall with a bench beneath, where guests can sit and enjoy our beautiful view through the cascading waterfall. The pool also has an exciting waterside, guests can slide gracefully down the hillside and splash into the refreshing pool beneath. You can enjoy a drink at the swim-up bar, or relax your back in the large attached jetted spa.
